Wy'east SisterHood January Recap from the Trails...

by Jay Bowen

Welcome to the Wy’east Sisterhood monthly recap! January has been a good month for the SisterHood.  With new classes and new Sisters on board, we've definitely been getting after it in the group workouts and on the trails!

If you haven't already heard, we launched some rad new classes, starting with Training & Nutrition with Alex Borsuk and  Winter Fusion: Strength and Endurance class with Anna Wetzel. The great thing about these classes is setting nutrition or strength training goals and being held accountable to achieve them. One of the biggest things we battle with over the long winter months is getting off the couch, oh and trying not to eat all the cake! (Well that’s my struggle, anyway.) Both these coaches are driving some pretty strong goals for our groups, and we are turning out some pretty motivated ladies!

Monday Night Fusion Bootcamp, OMG you ladies are killing it! We had the biggest turn out yet two weeks ago with 14 ladies in tow and we've been keeping it up since then. This is our fun, FREE Monday night workout, coached by the awesome Sarah & Jenn. Come check it out!

Ladies who Race.

We had a lot of ladies competing in events this month! Congratulations to everyone who competed. We love seeing your Insta’s, or our Wy’east SisterHood hats traveling around the globe!

Adventure!

Our January adventure run took us to the beach! We had a nice big turn out and crushed some tough hills from Short Sands Beach up to Neahkahnie Mountain. What I love about these adventure runs are meeting new running buddies, and someone is always cracking a terrible joke while we are battling the uphills. It is also a great way to get one-on-one coaching right on the trails with Wy’east SisterHood leaders. We love to see our community grow as we empower more women to hit the trails, so bring a friend and come on out and join us!

Good job on nailing January, we have had some good adventures, and are hopefully heading into some warmer weather (Fingers crossed). We would love to hear and share your news, so keep us posted!
